The RealWear HMT-1 is the materialisation of that objective: A head-mounted and ruggedised Assited Reality headset that works with an articulated micro-display giving the appearance of a 7-inch tablet screen. It features highly sophisticated noise cancellation technology that allows accurate voice recognition in 95 dBA typical industrial noise environments. Furthermore, it has translation and interpretation capabilities for more than 12 languages, and the user interface is designed to be user-friendly so the device handling can be learned quickly.
The RealWear HMT-1 enables workers to maintain situational awareness while being hands-free to execute tasks effectively. Its high-resolution microdisplay fits just below the line of sight allowing for uninhibited peripheral visibility, and the boom arm can be moved out of the way when not in use allowing workers to easily and safely scale scaffolds and ladders without distraction. The 16-megapixel camera comes with abundant onboard storage and can be used for a variety of purposes such as documentation and remote assistance.
