Printer devices are getting more advanced as they offer various types of functionalities. These devices are compatible with any device and provide a simple interface. Now the user can connect his printer device to a phone or even network. For printer network connection, the user has to configure the printer device with the router. After connection, you can take the printouts over the network easily.
Unboxing printer device for first time
1). Open the printer box sealed tape
2). Take out the printer carefully
3). Check for printer cartridges
4). Take out the power cable, USB, and driver CD
5). Now remove the protective clips from the cartridge
Use a power cable and connect the printer to electricity. When the power lamp glows, install the cartridges. After installing them, you can configure the printer device to the network.
Most of the routers have a WPS function which allows devices to connect easily. For the printer network connection, using WPS is the easiest method. You can directly connect the printer with WPS and then it will become on the network. But for the connection, the user has to check for things. For the network connection, your printer device should be ready. Also, check for the WPS pin as you can connect the printer when it has a physical WPS pin. While making connections, make sure the network is using WPA.
1). Go to the printer
2). Press the Wi-Fi button until the orange lamp glows
3). The Wi-Fi lamp will start blinking to search the network
4). Go to your router and then press the WPS pin
The printer Wi-Fi will get the network and the lamp will remain lit. After the printer connection, the user should take a configuration page. It will ensure that your printer device is on the correct router. Check pages on the tray and then press and hold the Cancel button. A warning message will appear and then the printer will get a configuration printout. Check the connection and SSID name on the printout; if they are correct then the printer is connected to your network successfully.
Install the printer driver on the PC
You can configure the printer to the network, but for giving the print command you need a PC/phone. The user can only access the printer from only those devices which are using the same network. To access the printer, the PC should have a printer driver. Without the driver, your printer will not communicate with the PC. You can use the CD for the driver setup. Or, you can search for the printer driver on the web and install it on the device. After installing the correct printer driver, go to the Printers & Scanners folder. Select Add Device and then check your printer. Click on your printer name and then tap on Add Device. Now the printer is connected and you can take the printouts.
Connecting printer using the standard connection method
The WPS connection feature is not available on all networks. When you don’t have WPS then try connecting the printer using the standard connection method. For this method, the user will require printer software. Get the program setup from the printer CD/ web.
1). Run the printer setup on PC
2). Press Next on Initial screen and tap on Wireless LAN connection
3). Hit on the Access Point Connection and click on the Next button
4). When the printer is open; click on Next
5). The program will search for the network
6). For first-time connection; tap on the Not Found option
7). The program guide will start installing
8). Hit on Cableless Setup
9). Press the Wi-Fi button and wait until the orange lamp flashes
10). Now printer’s Wi-Fi lamp will start flashing
11). Setting Up message will appear on the screen
12). Click on Next and you will get region wizard
13). Select the region and language
14). Click on the Yes option
15). Choose Next and the driver will install on the device
16). Your SSID will appear on the screen
Tap on Next and Agree on Extended Survey Program. Follow the screen and the printer will get connected to the network. Now try to search your printer on the network and then take the printouts.
