When Is The Best Time To Go Paragliding In Bir?

One of the best times to go paragliding in Bir is during the winter months. There are a number of reasons for this, but one of the main reasons is that there’s less wind and turbulence in the air. The winter months also have fewer tourists and more time for you to fly without interruption. Another good time is during the summer when there’s not much rain or wind, but be aware that you’ll likely have more people on the mountain who want to try paragliding, so it might take longer than usual before you can get up in the air.

What Do I Need To Bring With Me?

Please remember that you will be on the mountain for at least 2 hours and it is important that you bring the following items with you:

-A camera (to take pictures)

-A jacket and/or warm clothes (in case it gets cold or windy)

-Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and water (in case of sunburn or dehydration)

-A picnic lunch, or snacks if you are getting hungry during the flight

-A camera charger in case your batteries die.

How Do I Get There?

Bir Billing is located about an hour outside of Goa, India. The best way to get there is by hiring a car or taxi from the airport at either Dabolim or Vasco da Gama. If you’re not renting a car, then you’ll need to find transportation from the airport. Alternatively, you can also take a bus from either Dabolim or Vasco da Gama.

What Are The Rules?

The rules of flying a paraglider are much different than other kinds of aircraft. The rules are governed by the International Sporting Code, which is overseen by the World Air Sports Federation (FAI). It’s important to be familiar with these regulations before taking your first flight.

-No flights are allowed within a five kilometer radius of an airport or airfield

-You must wear a helmet and goggles during takeoff and landing

-You must fly in the direction of the wind

-No flights may be made at night – this rule is only violated if you have an emergency situation.

You’re now equipped with the knowledge needed to safely paraglide in Bir Billing, India. Remember, always take your time and think about what you want before taking the plunge. It’s important that you feel 100% confident in your decision before committing to it. Have fun!
